Summer Movie Series
Continuing with my ideas for keeping the kiddos busy this summer while not going broke...lets not forget about the summer movie programs. Many cities have these programs for either free or cheap. They've been going on since I was a kid, and in my hometown they haven't even raised the price either. The movies are typically older but good ones none the less. Check out your local movie theaters for details. Enjoy some summer fun without breaking the bank!

Kids Skate Free
I ran across another nice freebie activity while browsing one of my favorite blogger's site. This freebie isn't as widely available as some but I'm hoping with bringing some light to it that maybe we can get more involvement and the program can grow. Kids Skate Free is similar to the Kids Bowl Free program I posted about earlier this week. Certain skating locations across the country are allowing kids to skate free of charge during select hours. Check it out at KidsSkateFree.com
Also please take a few minutes and go over and check out one of my favorite bloggers Money Saving Mom She always posts some great freebie deals as well as tips for managing our busy households like freezer cooking and homeschooling.

Museum visits free for Military
Another great free summer activity is thanks to the Blue Star Museums Initiative. Many museums across the country offer free admission to Active Duty military and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day. This wonderful program began in 2010. Here is a link to see what museums participate...Blue Star Museums Initiative
Please note that the link is for the KS museums as that is where we are currently stationed but just click on any state to see the museums in your area. Enjoy these free and educational opportunities all summer long!

Summertime Fun
School's out for much of the country the rest will be out in the coming weeks (except for those lucky mommas whose kids go year round). What are you going to do with your kids to keep them busy this summer? As a mother of four with number five on the way next month I'm always looking for free (or cheap) activities to keep these kiddos busy so they don't drive me completely crazy. In the coming days I'll be sharing some of what I've found.
The first program I want to share is the Kids Bowl Free program. Select bowling centers across the US are offering kids 2 free games every day all summer long. There is also an additional Family Pass that can be purchased for $24.95 to allow up to four adults to bowl 2 games daily with the kiddos. Each bowling centers times are different. Please visit kidsbowlfree.com for more information
