Many companies and stores try to show their appreciation for the Military personnel's sacrifices by offering discounts. When in doubt it never hurts to ask but PLEASE do so politely and do not make a scene when they say no. No company is obligated to give a military discount. It is out of the kindness of their heart that they do. Also remember it is at the discretion of the management to offer the discount. I have seen cases where an offer is valid except in cities near a military base. This list can change at any time and should be used simply as a guide to what companies may offer a discount.
